Global Search
Global search lets you find any block in your workspace instantly. It supports keyboard-driven navigation, live preview, and bulk actions like tagging search results.
Opening Search
Open global search from the toolbar or with the search shortcut cmd+k or ctrl+k.
Searching
Start typing to search across all blocks in your workspace. Results update as you type, showing:
- Block title
- Thumbnail preview (for files/images)
- Matching text highlighted
Scoped Search
You can narrow your search to a specific context:
- Search within a specific tag or block's children
- Scope is shown as a breadcrumb above the search input
- Press
Backspaceon an empty search field to remove the scope
Keyboard Navigation

Actions on Results
When you highlight a result, you can apply different actions:
- Open (Enter) — Navigate to the block
- Tag (Shift+Enter) — Apply the block as a tag
- Mention (Alt+Enter) — Create a mention link to the block
The current action mode is shown in the search UI. Use Tab / Shift+Tab to switch between modes.
Bulk Operations
- Save as Tag — Press
Ctrl/Cmd+Enterto save the current search as a newly created tag
