Block Actions

Heaper provides several actions you can perform on blocks, either individually or in bulk through multi-selection.

Pin / Unpin

Pin blocks to keep them easily accessible in the sidebar.

In the action sidebar, click the pin/unpin icon on a selected block
Pinned blocks appear in the sidebar for quick navigation
Pinned blocks also show up as quick-access tags in the radial drag menu
Right now only single blocks can be pinned after another (not bulk selections) *This is to not spam the sidebar with accidental pins, These are your top level blocks which you sort everything else into. *

Download the original file for any file-type block:

For file blocks that reference local files:

Right-click on a file in quick preview → "Reveal in Finder" (macOS), "Open in Explorer" (Windows), or "Open in File Manager" (Linux)
Right-click → "Open with Default App" to open the file in its associated application

This is available on the desktop app.

Export blocks for use outside Heaper:

You can add notes and annotations to image blocks:

Open an image block, Then press the note icon on the right top side of the bottom sheet. This will swap the image with the note, and you get a full rich text editor to add any context you need.
Notes are stored as part of the block's CRDT document, so they sync across devices

On mobile (Capacitor), you can share blocks to other apps:
